Mission Statement
The SPON Youth Corps fosters civic engagement in the next generation of Newport Beach
through advocacy, education, and outreach.
Are you a young person in the Orange County area?
Want to work on a project that helps your community, while adding something meaningful to your resume?
The SPON Youth Corps is our way of promoting civic engagement in the next generation of Newport Beach residents — theindividuals who will steward our city in the future.
As part of the Corps, you can attend skill-building workshops, expand your resume with internships and volunteer experience, spend the day at a beach cleanup or movie screening (on us), and more — being a Newport Beach resident is not a requirement.
Members learn about governance, law, land use, environmentalism, voting, tourism, housing and more — perfect for policy buffs, history nerds, graphic designers, aspiring lawyers, and any number of creative specialties.
Joining the Youth Corps is as easy as sending an email to youthcorps@spon-newportbeach.org, giving us a call at 949-537-1299, or filling out this interest form.
